Sure, you can't drink it, but it sounds sweet! Please don't mistake this for regular, everyday speech. This is NOT how Mandarin Chinese sounds in regular conversation. This is a very purposefully composed tongue twister, to practice "k" and "e" sounds, along with the four tones. Are you able to hear the tonal differences? Can you hear the second tone rising? Can you hear the third tone, falling and rising?

Westerners have trouble with Chinese, which typically stems from poor tonal recognition. If you learn tones and pronunciation very well from the start, you can fast-track your Chinese learning!
