Starching Victorian Petticoats

Finally the video you have been waiting for- how to starch Victorian petticoats! In the years before hoopskirts became popular, it was key to starch your pettis in order to get the volume that was fashionable. Here I show you how I starch and iron my 1850s petticoats, as well as introduce you to the three main types of petticoats worn during this time period.
