Ahead of TT 2022, John Hogan caught up with TT star and former sandwich artist, Davey Todd who joined Manxman and fellow Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles team mate Conor Cummins at his coffee shop in the Isle of Man, Conrod’s, to put his skills to the test.

Putting the sandwich skills aside, Davey reflects on some of his earliest memories of coming to the TT, his heroes and how he was able to hit 128mph with confidence on his TT debut, giving insight into how he prepared and the support available to newcomers.

Meanwhile, Conor talks business in COVID, carrying the weight of making the Island proud, being a newcomer and the additional pressures that social media now brings. Looking to returning to the roads for 2022, did Conor feel he had an advantage living on the Island after the hiatus?
