マレーシアのTDカーズ社が生産する『TD2000』は、1950年代の名車MG『TD』のリプロダクションモデルであり、製作にあたり本国に残っていたジグを取り寄せ、日本の技術を学び、フォルクスワーゲンの技術者をスカウトして、ジャガーの指導による設計の見直しを行なうなどその姿勢は徹底している。
トヨタ製3S-FE4気筒DOHCエンジンは、1998ccの排気量から、最高出力130ps/5600rpm、最大トルク18.3kg/4400rpmを発揮、エアコンなどのオプションや内外装のカラーリングも楽しめる。
エンジンは一種類のみ、右ハンドルのワングレードのみで、トランスミッションは5MTと4ATから選択可能である。
