Oracles are one of the essential building blocks of the Decentralized Finance ecosystem.

As we integrate our money, both personal and business, with an integrated system of Smart Contracts, those Smart Contracts are going to be relying on Oracles.

The Oracles will be telling those Smart Contracts to move money, change title, declare winners, etc.

Without the Oracles, the Smart Contracts will be, at best, inefficient, and at worst, malicious.

To coincide with the Decentralized economy, we will need a system of Decentralized Oracles to provide the correct data. The Oracles need to be trustworthy, and therefore, need to have incentive mechanisms to reward proper behavior, and to punish unwanted behavior.
