DAMAGING MICROBURST SLAMS EAST BRUNSWICK AUGUST 28TH 2024

Ah yes, August 28th. The most damaging storm we've seen in a while. It started off as a few isolated storms up north with no organization. However, little did I know I was wrong. Around 8:20, we started to see severe thunderstorms organize throughout Somerset county with a very impressive bow echo indicated on radar with 60+ MPH wind gusts. I wouldn't be surprised if it was 70 MPH. This squall line and eventually MCS picked up so much steam and lightning with it, it became a destructive severe storm in middlesex county. Damaging winds were so powerful it destroyed trees and large limbs in our town which is so rare and unheard of. Power outages peaked at 10000 customers out in our county. Rain was slamming our door because of the 60 MPH wind obliterating our area. Overall, this storm was #2 on my list this year. Incredible storm with crazy lightning and wind. Holy crap. Skip to the end for lots of tree damage and property damage. But again, this day will be to remember when we look back to 2024.

7:00 most intense part of the storm. INTENSE STRIKES+GUSTY WINDS 60 MPH
