So now we have to play an MMO in an unrelated series? This lore summary covers Yoko Taro's latest venture into madness take place in Final Fantasy XIV Online, in the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse quests and raids that for some reason are cannon. Yeah, that's right. Dark Apocalypse is cannon.
The NieR series is place of a long running chronology of games starting in the Drakengard franchise, the brainchild of Yoko Taro, and there are plot lines running throughout that converge in NieR Replicant and Automata.
