Using ARTEZA Gouache Paint & Watercolor Pad

Big thanks to Julia with Arteza for sending me some of their products to try out! I chose the 24 pack of Premium Gouache Colors and their watercolor pads.

The gouache came with 24 colors including both a white and a titanium white. The watercolor pads are Acid-free, cold press, 140lb paper in a glue bound pad. It comes in packs of two each containing 32 sheets.

Things I liked:
-The colors are super bright and have a really nice texture even without adding much water.
-Layers of solid colors dried really flat.
-The black is really dark even if mixed with water and didn't take several coats to get good coverage.
-The paper had a really nice texture and barely warped, I can't wait to try it with watercolors maybe even make a sketchbook with some of it.

Stuff I didn't like so much:
-The paint cracked and crumbled on my palette after it dried. I like to paint off of a palette and rarely use paint straight from a tube so this is a little disappointing. I reactivated the paint in water and it seems to be sticking for now but we'll see. [EDIT: I've gotten lots of suggestions on how to fix this thank you!!]
-I found it a little harder to blend and reactivate than my Reeves paint. this didn't really bother me and I got use to it really quickly but definitely something to be aware of.

Over all I like the paint and will continue to use it. If I figure out how to get it to stick to my palette it'll be perfect for my current needs.
