Electric Bicycle Tubeless valve stem sizes JATMA PVR-40 PVR-50

There are several sizes of snap-in tubeless valve stems for electric bicycles. Some of the smaller wheels which seem to have been designed for an inner tube, and have a standard bicycle tube-type valve stem hole size (11/64” or about 8.5mm diameter)

These need the smallest size snap-in valve stem, which is JATMA PVR-40 or PVR-40x (a little longer).

JATMA means the Japan Automotive Tire Manufacturer Association

There is a little disagreement on the diameter of the rubber that fits in the wheel hole, but basically the PVR 40 is the smallest and fits 8.8mm-9.5mm size hole.

But if you try to fit a PVR50 valve stem in a hole designed for PVR40, it will suffer so much damage that it will fail prematurely because the metal come unbonded from the rubber if you pull it too hard.
