To be fair, Boris rebelling for being forced to work that many hours was kind of justified, because I'm pretty sure making people work for many hours and in the AM hours can be considered worker exploitation. Although, there were legal ways to handle the situation. He should have either quit the job, went to the labor union, and/or held a labor strike.
