Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Oval Driver's Side Red Lens Five Function, LED Trailer Tail Light. Now this oval trailer light will serve five functions. Stop light, turn signal light, tail light, rear reflex reflector, and at the very bottom has a license plate light. Now these use LEDs, which make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer. They're more efficient.

They provide better light with less power output and there's no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments.This one uses a red lens. This is designed to mount on the surface of the trailer. A surface mount light will install flat against the surface of the trailer so a hole does not need to be cut into the trailer for the light. Now this type of light is installed using the mounting bracket base that has the mounting holes in it. Just want to show you, we're going to take off the lens.

And there's your mounting base and there's your holes that you'd install to the trailer. Now the mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer. Just go ahead and clip the lens back on. And the mounting hardware is not included.This does have, if you notice at the very bottom here, it does have a license plate mounting bracket built in because there is a license plate light right here. I'm going to show you that in a minute here.

We're going to illuminate it, just to show you the lights on this.This is a three-wire design. The white wire is for ground, the brown wire is for tail lights, and the red wire is for stop and turn signal lights. This light is SAE approved. Also Department of Transportation compliant. It does meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 108 requirements for automotive lighting.This part is assembled in the U.S.A.

configuration, again, it's for the driver's side or left-hand side and again the reason that is, is because it has the license plate bracket and the license plate light on it.Dimensions on this overall length, edge to edge is right at 9 1/2 inches long. The width at the widest point on the light is 4 inches wide. And the total depth front to back is right at 1 3/16 of an inch deep. The wire length on the pigtail wires is 7 inches and it uses 22 diodes.So, again, what I'm going to do is we're going to hook up the 12 volt power and once we do that I'm going to turn it on to show you how bright it is. Go ahead and hook up our tail lights, our ground, and our last connection will be our brake and turn. With those all, I'll go ahead and hold it up. Go ahead and turn on our 12-volt power. You can see there's your tail light function. There's your license plate at the bottom here. What I'm going to do is go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and there you go, you can see the tail light function up here, the bright LED down there is your license plate light. And your brake light. The brake light will be a lot brighter, you can see. When you apply your brakes. And then your turn signal will be also very bright.I'll go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights. Go ahead and disconnect the light.
