The Heartbreaking Case of Sierah Joughin | True Crime Documentary

Sierah Joughin, a vibrant and adventurous college student, vanished on July 19, 2016, after leaving her boyfriend Josh's home to bike back to her house. Her sudden disappearance alarmed her family and community, leading to a massive search effort. Investigators found evidence of a struggle near her purple bike, including sunglasses, bloody socks, and a screwdriver. Suspicion eventually focused on James Worley, a man with a history of violence, including a 1989 attempted kidnapping.

A search of Worley’s property uncovered disturbing evidence, such as blood-stained clothing and tools linked to abduction. Tragically, Sierah's body was later found buried in a nearby cornfield. She had been bound, gagged, and asphyxiated. Worley was arrested, tried, and convicted of her murder, receiving the death penalty for his horrific crimes.
