AMV - Higurashi Sotsu - Suicide

- With a knife on the floor -

I started this video last year, and it was supposed to be a Halloween AMV (an 80s inspired dance song about devil worship and human sacrifice. perfect.), but I decided to wait until more of the new Higurashi came out before going back to working on it. After the first arc of the Higurashi Sotsu season aired this summer - especially after that last Rika and Satoko scene being the kind of clips I was expecting/waiting for, I was feeling very motivated to go back and finish it. Enjoy...Halloween in July ;)

Video 3 plot:
Rena isn't feeling well, and she's pushed over the edge when she learns that her father has been spending the family savings on a prostitute. Rena takes matters into her own hands - acquiring murder implements, locating the woman, and then leading her into the dump and brutally murdering her. While burying the body, Rena panics, (incorrectly) believing that her friend Keiichi saw what she had done. Rena then decides she must kill Keiichi. She packs her tools and goes to his house. Rena's other friends, Satoko and Rika, watch in glee and horror, respectively, as Rena attacks Keiichi with a knife and the pair end up killing each other.
This tragedy was instigated by Satoko, who made a deal with the demonic Eua. Eua promised to give a Satoko a happy world where she could live with Rika forever, and in exchange Satoko agreed to entertain Eua. Satoko provided this 'entertainment' by manipulating Rena - injecting her with the virus that drove her to madness. Meanwhile Rika, unaware of Rena's condition, tried to foster trust between Keiichi and Rena to make everyone get along. Satoko and Rika try to control Rena and Keiichi for their own goals.
Distraught that she was not able to stop Keiichi and Rena from meeting such a horrible end, Rika decides to kill herself. Satoko follows suit, determined to fulfill her promise of entertaining the demon.
