We think that there is a lot of potential for the AMD Ryzen platform in the 1P server market. At the same time, we run into software/ firmware issues quite often. If you were thinking of saving money buying an AMD B350 motherboard (usually under $100) and using it for multi-GPU IOMMU pass-through, you may want to watch this video first.

Note: we have had a Canonical employee onto one of our STH DemoEval data center lab machines to patch Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04 and 16.10 and we are giving motherboard manufacturers access to machines remotely in an effort to get some of these teething issues fixed.
