Syracuse Orange Football has been connected to former Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Conner Conner Weigman, who's now in the transfer portal. However, Fran Brown said in his press conference that Syracuse hasn't reached out to Weigman, but he did say they would contact him once he entered the portal. Weigman has solid career numbers with the Aggies, but regressed a lot in 2024. He has two years of eligibility, which does separate him from Kaidon Salter. However, Salter might have the higher floor.
