[4K HDR] Exploring Gangwon Province 2021 Wolwha street and Myeongjudong in Gangneung Tour Korea

This is the 2nd video out of a total of 6 videos I filmed in Gangwon-do for 6 days from April 5th. Today, let's walk on the Wolhwa street and Namsan Park in Gangneung City. We 're going to depart from Wolhwa Street, pass through the central traditional market, and go to Myeongju-dong Alley. Our final destination is Namsan Park. Namsan Park is especially famous in Gangneung City as a place full of cherry blossoms.

The name of the street was the motif of ‘Wolhwajung’. which is a love story between "“Muwollang’ who was a boy of Shilla dynasty and "Yeonhwa", the daughter of local Toho.
Let's stroll through the majestic streets of Wolhwa of romantic atmosphere. Beautiful sculptures in the streets, cheerful words and lush boulevards, and alley scenes that have all the traces are combined to create a unique atmosphere.

It was once a town that played a central role in the administration of Gangneung and the city hall, old government were located. However, as the city hall building was relocated and the downtown area was formed elsewhere, less people are visiting here. Myeongju-dong found its color again because of the cultural space using the old buildings emerged here.

The 'Myeongju Art Park', which is the former Myeongju elementary school building, is managed as a cultural and artistic space and there’s performance hall and a practice room for projects such as performances and exhibitions. Theater and concerts are held constantly in the small stage 'Dan', where the old church built in 1958 was reorganized. The old mill and house over 100 year-old were rebuilt as a stylish cafe.
