A Project entitled ‘Finding Your Voice, A Creative Journey through Song’ took place in Galway Cheshire during 2025. Ten participants engaged in this powerful creative project exploring vocal expression, Songwriting, and Audio recording.

This video documents that process, the journey of each Resident through the writing and recording of a song. None of the participants had written or recorded a song before. Led by Martina Flaherty, an experienced voice coach and songwriter, participants engaged in multiple workshops to discover their voices through music. Paddy Jordan, a professional audio engineer, brought his mobile studio to Galway Cheshire, guiding participants through audio recording sessions to capture their creative work. The Song was launched at Nuns Island Theatre, Galway on 17th September 2025.

Many thanks to all the Participants who engaged so enthusiastically, giving their all to the project. Special thanks also to Facilitator Martina Flaherty and Recording Engineer/Producer, Paddy Jordan. They shared so freely their creative expertise and were so generous with their artistic knowledge, which contributed greatly to making the project a huge success. To Ann Glennon who as always is a shining light with her positivity and enthusiasm for the project. The team at Nuns Island Theatre were so accommodating, ensuring the launch event for the song was fabulous.
