I just discovered this news, a record by Mr. Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville, a French inventor. He invented the phonautograph, the first known sound recording device, and the first to record human voices know to human history, long before Thomas Edison did. But his purpose back then was only to see the sound, not to play it back. He died in 1879, without being recognized until 2008. Big respect and regards
