Patek Phillipe claims that they invented the first wristwatch in 1868, but it seems that the general consensus is that the first recorded wristwatch originated in the early 20th Century. Some believe that wrist watches were used during the Boer War and some believe that the wearing history goes back even further. Fascinating nonetheless.
