First Gas Airplane Ends In A Catastrophic Crash

Описание к видео First Gas Airplane Ends In A Catastrophic Crash

1. Before you leave a comment about the RF signal critical...
I'm using a multi-module transmitter with a spectrum receiver.
You have to calibrate the RF signal otherwise it will constantly yell at you that
there's an RF signal critical. I did not calibrate the RF so it always does
that unless you turn it off. i forgot to turn it off before the flight.
However I did set up fail safe and did a range check so all good there.

2. what happen?
I added a soft Mount to my flight controller to test a few new things. This which actually worked OK on lower RPM.
However at Full Throttle it got a little wonky
due to the refresh rate of the flight controller matching the vibration rate of the full rpm.
if you watch the video you can see this in flight and right before the crash. and when doing high speed passes. this was a known thing and this is what i was testing.

Watching the video back it seems like I was going full power trying to pull up
thinking more speed would help but actually I think it was upsetting the gyro even more.

I kind of proved some of this out on the ground while I was testing and knew it could be trouble.

I actually had two settings on the gyro on a switch so I could play with high gain and low gain.

It didn't seem like it mattered but the low gain was more stable from the vibrations.

I went out there to do some experimentation with this type of Gyro with that type of isolation
and there's the result.

3. The fact that know one was there was a blessing, it was also intentional. If I'm doing "new" testing of things i try to go out while know one is there for this exact reason.

You cant fail if you don't get out there and try new things... but you also cant succeed ! don't be an arm chair pilot ( or commenter at that)

so enjoy the carnage at my expense.
