The Final Night of Janis Joplin and Where She Died

We are back in Hollywood, California to retrace the final day of music icon, Janis Joplin. Joplin was in Los Angeles recording her album Pearl at the legendary Sunset Sound on October 3, 1970. Following a recording session, Janis joined some of her bandmates at Barney's Beanery before returning to the Landmark Hotel (now called Highland Gardens) in room 105. She injected herself with what would be a life ending dose of heroin and was found dead in her room at the age of 27.
