Groundbreaking Discovery Reveals Neanderthal and Denisovan Blood Groups

Описание к видео Groundbreaking Discovery Reveals Neanderthal and Denisovan Blood Groups

Over the past decade, advancements in technology have enabled scientists to gather data from the entire genomes of about fifteen extinct Neanderthal and Denisovan hominins who lived between 40,000 and 100,000 years ago, from Western Europe to Siberia. This data has uncovered the population structure, various demographic changes, and gene flows across hominin populations, as well as the global spread of archaic genes through interbreeding with Homo sapiens. It also suggests the existence of a super-archaic 'ghost' population.
