A true gentleman’s sports car, the DB2/4 MKIII was the final development of the Feltham built Aston Martins, in production for just 2 years before the DB4 was introduced.

Notable for a number of technical improvements over earlier models, the MKIII’s specifications included front disc brakes, overdrive gearboxes, more powerful engines and enhanced equipment levels, including more supportive sports seats. This model saw the first use of what has subsequently become the signature Aston Martin front grille shape, echoed in the dashboards instrument binnacle. Undoubtedly the most evolved and complete of the cars built on the Claude Hill chassis, the MKIII’s sporting credentials were well established in period motoring publications.

First owned for some 20 years, this exceptional car was maintained by Aston Martin themselves before changing hands to its second long term owner. Entrusted to respected marquee specialists in 2007 for a total ‘body off’ restoration, including every aspect of the car it has since completion, been driven sparingly over approximately 1,500 dry miles.

Supplied complete with an exceptionally detailed history folder including build sheets, original buff log books, period service records and invoices from Aston Martin from 1959 onwards, as well as a photographic record and invoices of the restoration, tools, jack and owners handbook.

Fitted with triple SU carburettors, twin exhausts, front disc brakes, overdrive transmission and well settled after its restoration, this beautiful example of the distinguished MKIII, of which less than 450 were built, would be at home in any concours or road event and is ready to be enjoyed, by its next custodian.
