For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door post. The 1957 Chevy Bel Air is easily one of the most recognizable cars ever produced and loved by all. This '57 is painted in a classic two tone teal and white base coat clear coat with a matching interior. Powering this Bel Air down the road is a 350 cubic inch V8 with a Holley 4 barrel providing more power than the top engine offered in 1957. Backing up that power is a 700 R4 overdrive automatic transmission and a Ford 9" rear end. Both were rebuilt just a thousand miles ago. Additional updates include 17" aluminum wheels and performance radial tires. This tire and wheel package combined with the overdrive transmission will let you cruise beyond the local show and hit the highway. In the last seven months the car has received new carpeting with sound deadener, new stainless trim, emblems, Lokar shifter, Holley air cleaner and valve covers, gas tank sending unit, transmission cooler and more. The Bel Air has also recently received new shocks, power brake booster, compression check and a new exhaust system. Keeping an eye on the engine's vitals are aided with an oil pressure gauge, water temp and amperage gauge mounted just below the glove box.. Mounted on the steering column is a new tachometer and a rebuilt speedometer.
