Als gevolg van de grote omvang van de dienstensector is Nederland extra kwetsbaar voor de opkomst van AI technologie en daaraan gekoppelde robotica. Nederland zal naar mijn verwachting dan ook eerder en harder worden geraakt dan de meeste andere landen. “Be prepared!” is het motto. AI technologie is nu al veel verder dan menigeen beseft. De wereld heeft een kentering van deze omvang nog niet eerder meegemaakt.

De maatschappelijke discussie over de impact van AI is in Nederland (en Europa) nog nauwelijks op gang gekomen. De politiek lijkt geen idee te hebben welke AI sneltrein op ons afdendert, negeert het onderwerp totaal bij de komende verkiezingen, alsmede kijkt een groot deel van het bedrijfsleven nog de kat uit de boom, totdat het welicht te laat is. Het domste wat de politiek kan doen is wegkijken en “Ga maar rustig slapen, niets aan de hand” uitdragen. Die teneur is thans alom gaande niet alleen bij de politiek, in de trant van er komt een grote omwenteling en AI gaat banenkosten maar daar komen andere banen voor terug. Welke banen dat dan zullen gaan worden en in welke omvang is nog heel vaag en nauwelijks in detail bestudeerd.

Internationale professionals met jarenlange ervaring in de AI sector waarschuwen en voorspellen een totale instorting van de wereldwijde samenleving met 2027 als het begin jaar van een AI crisis van ongekende omvang met massa werkloosheid die 10 tot 15 jaar kan gaan duren.
Na wat aandringen geeft zelfs Google's Gemini AI aan dat het aantal werklozen door AI uiteindelijk kan gaan oplopen tot nabij de 3 miljoen in Nederland.
Hoogste tijd dat er alarmbellen in Den Haag gaan rinkelen . Begin nú op zijn minst met het aanstellen van een minister van AI zaken plus uiteraard een bijbehorend departement.

Dit betoog wordt luchtig en soms ludiek ondersteund door AI generereerde video beelden. Het is geen politieke uiteenzetting maar een waarschuwing voor links tot rechts. De tekst is niet door AI gegenereerd maar zelf geschreven.

The developments outlined in the field of AI apply worldwide and are far from artificial. Due to the large size of its service sector, the Netherlands is particularly vulnerable to the rise of AI technology and related robotics. I therefore expect the Netherlands to be hit sooner and harder than most other countries. "Be prepared!" is the motto.
AI technology is already far more advanced than many realize. The world has never before experienced a shift of this magnitude.

The public debate about the impact of AI has barely begun in the Netherlands (and Europe). Politicians seem oblivious to the AI supercharger hurtling towards us, completely ignoring the topic in the upcoming elections, and a large segment of the business community is still waiting to see what happens (until it's perhaps too late). The worst thing politicians can do is look the other way and say, "Go to sleep, it's all fine." This sentiment is currently widespread, not just among politicians, along the lines of a major upheaval coming, and AI will cost jobs, but other jobs will be created in their place. Which jobs will be created and to what extent is still very vague and has barely been studied in detail.

International professionals with years of experience in the AI sector are warning and predicting a total collapse of global society, with 2027 as the beginning of an AI crisis of unprecedented proportions, with mass unemployment that could last 10 to 15 years.
It's high time alarm bells started ringing in The Hague. Start now, at the very least, by appointing a Minister of AI Affairs and, of course, an accompanying department.

This documentary is lightheartedly and sometimes playfully supported by AI-generated video footage. It's not a political statement, but a warning for both left and right.
