Sandi’s daughter Liesl was declared a missing person after her disappearance, until police discovered footage of her entering someone’s car.

After a lengthy police investigation a man previously unknown to police was charged with Liesl's murder. However, he took his own life before the verdict was delivered.

"I'm left with nothing anyway because I don't have someone I know is a perpetrator, and I don't have my daughter."
