How to Disconnect Battery. Chevrolet and GMC 2017-2021

Silverado 2500HD 4x4 Duramax Low Coolant Warning.
Low coolant warning after 2 years old and coolant level are full.
Coolant reservoir tank replacement.

Tools that you will need:
10 mm socket.
Plyers.
Flat screwdriver.
3/8 drive rachet.
3/8 drive extension / 1 short & 1 long.

1) Safety glasses.
2) Disconnect the negative cable on the driver’s side battery first.
3) Remove the bracket over the battery on the passenger side.
4) Disconnect the negative cable on the passenger side battery.
5) Disconnect the positive battery junction box, it uses 10 mm & 13mm size bolts and set aside, don’t lose the screws that hold the 4 wires to the battery bus.
6) Loosen the hold-down bracket on the passenger side battery, (13mm bolt) there is no need to remove the driver’s side battery.
7) The battery is heavy and difficult to grip in order to pull straight up, get someone to help you with the battery. It needs to be pulled straight up and set it aside and install the new battery.
8) Reverse the order of how you removed the battery and remember to clean the terminals and add a small amount of electrical grease to the terminals.
