Here is a better video showing the final tumbles of the final rinse, before the machine launches into its final SPIN DRAIN!
Perfectly balanced this time, the machine makes two step changes in speed - firstly we think upto around 750rpm, then secondly upto the full 1000rpm (it looks and sounds a lot quicker than 1000rpm to be honest and the wider tub makes for good drying results).

It was only in this first full spin cycle that it became apparrent that the machine will require a new set of drum bearings, sooner rather than later. Althought the drum is rock solid in its bearings, the 'roaring' noise (sounding like the machine is running on rails) gives the game away that the bearings are on their way out.
So a heavy overhaul will be the order of the day, in due course.
