I spent 1 year learning Japanese using Anime & watching VTubers on YouTube. Find out how good my Japanese is after 1 year of self-study in this documentary on my Japanese learning journey from the beginning to now!

My goals when I started learning Japanese by myself in 2020 were simple, so I could watch Anime and VTubers on YouTube without subtitles. So am I able to watch Anime without subtitles after 1 year of studying Japanese? YES! I am!

I would say I have above 90% comprehension on Japanese videos with topics I'm familiar with, which is really crazy considering only 1 year of study!
