The Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, is an immersive, high-thrill dark ride that transports guests into the heart of an archaeological expedition inspired by the iconic Indiana Jones film series. Located in Adventureland, this attraction, which opened on March 3, 1995, invites riders to join Dr. Indiana Jones on a perilous quest through a cursed subterranean temple set in 1935 India.

Guests board rugged, 12-passenger military troop transport vehicles, which are enhanced motion vehicles (EMVs) designed to simulate turbulent motion over rough terrain, creating a dynamic and unpredictable ride experience. The journey begins in an intricately themed queue that winds through a detailed archaeological dig site, featuring ancient temple corridors, crumbling ruins, and interactive elements like hieroglyphics (“Maraglyphics”) that can be decoded using the Play Disney Parks app. The queue sets the stage with over 1,300 props, including hand-carved surfaces, replicated skulls, and snakes, immersing guests in the story before they board.
