Del Papa Distributing has teamed up with United Way for the "Make It Worth It" campaign, pledging to donate $0.25 to the United Way of Beaumont and North Jefferson County for every case of Michelob Ultra sold. This marks the third year of the initiative, which runs throughout September.

Karyn Husbands and Jeff Wheeler, representatives from United Way and Del Papa Distributing, respectively, highlighted the importance of the partnership. "Del Papa has been with us from the beginning since we started our events. We're hugely grateful to that," said Husbands. She emphasized the company's commitment to the community, noting that Jeff Wheeler serves on their board and volunteers at events.

Wheeler explained the company's dedication to community involvement, citing the words of their founder, Romero Del Papa, who said, "A good name is better than money." He added, "We're very, very focused on community involvement and making the places that we live and work a better place to live and work."

The funds raised through the campaign will support 19 local nonprofits, providing opportunities for youth, access to affordable health care, and assistance during natural or daily disasters. "We take the funds from the Make It Worth It campaign and put it right back into our community," said Husbands.

Wheeler encouraged the community to participate by purchasing Michelob Ultra, stating, "Every Michelob Ultra sold in the month of September, we'll give a portion of those proceeds to the United Way."

The campaign coincides with the start of football season, a time when beer sales typically increase. Wheeler noted, "September is a great month. It's kind of football season started football season. So, drinking a little bit more beer anyway."

Both Husbands and Wheeler expressed hope that this year's campaign would be the biggest and best yet, with all funds staying local to benefit the community.
