I'll walk you through an edit of the Church Of the Good Sheppard in Tekapo, New Zealand. The masks are used to isolate specific areas in the photo so we can adjust them independently of the rest of the photo. The principals covered will apply to any photo edit you're working on.

Think how you want to affect an area or object in the image, make a selection for it (a mask) using either the brush, radial or linear masks, the AI Mask or a combination to get the results you want.

Update 1.06 sees the introduction of other key features such as the histogram and highlight and shadow clipping warnings. Finally Luminar NEO is now looking like the beast it was touted to be. I'm really enjoying using it for my edits. Let me know what you guys think in the comments!
