I'm playing the PSP-title "One Piece: Romance Sawn" - a JRPG or "Japanese-Role-Playing-Game released in December 2012 - it follows the manga of One Piece from the beginning and until the Marineford Arc.

The game has great graphics for the PSP - especially on the PPSSPP emulator, it has good TV-show music, Final Fantasy-styled turn-based battles with its own twist to it and I kind of enjoy the battles.

I don't particularly enjoy the way the story is told through chats and pictures most of the time.. That's typical for anime-games on the PSP though - and it would have been much better had the game told the story by using the battle-models.

The game has 30 minutes of new animations telling parts of the old story with new cutscenes.

The game was only ever released in Japan but has been fan-translated into English.

Back in December 2012 when I downloaded the game that ROM had no music at all.. So I ended up not playing more than a few battles despite me wanting a JRPG set in the One Piece universe and following the manga.

It would take until now until I actually started playing more than that.

The game would have been better on a console with the models being used to tell the story instead of the chats and pictures - I feel this was a wasted opportunity to use the great battle-models.

You can play as all the Straw-Hats plus Portgas D Ace - Luffy's brother.

The game was released on the Nintendo 3DS in English a year or two later in Europe and in the USA.

I have 2 PSP:s since at least 12 years back.
