Today we're in uhe Diva using the MONA for diva skin and using a technique that Mick Gordon used when he made the music for Doom. The main principle that he teaches is using a sine wave and some white noise and running that through creative fx chains to really come up with some dirty and nasty sounds.
Mick Gordon did a talk at GDC and it is very interesting and you will learn a lot and become inspired just as I was.

We also use analog modeled plugins from the Arturia FX collection Pre 1973, Comp Diode 609, DIST OPAMP-21 and then running that through Valhalla Vintage verb using the dirty plate algorithm. Try to experiment with your own creative FX chains and use lots of distortions, phasers, and whatever you might find interesting. Sound design is all about experimentation.
