This lullaby was a gift for my wife on her August 2, 2018 birthday. The chapter Lost and Found of her story The Secret of the Forest contains a tender scene where the main character Thranduil has a flashback to times when his son Legolas was a child. (Yes, you guessed it, my wife writes fan-fiction...of high quality I may say. This is link to the chapter where this scene takes place: https://www.wattpad.com/580239658-the...) I enhanced this moment of the story with a “musical mind- clip" where it's Thranduil's turn to put small Legolas to bed. My lyrics to this lullaby are developed from expressions and phrases taken from Flora Nocturna’s story. This video contains obviously the solo piano version. My wife and I have gone through similar endeavours, "de-energizing" our kids with singing (and reading, and snuggling) while hoping nothing will happen that could interrupt his/her falling into slumber....we have raised five children.
