Apologies for the blurry slides! I decided to release this anyway, because all the information is still valuable.

I've been working with and studying fascia since 2008, and I am still learning new things all the time that amaze me.

The most important "secrets" of fascia is:

Fascia won’t change just because we want it to.

This simple and profound fact is what sent me into the worlds of neuroscience, psychology, quantum physics and spiritual science (the work of Rudolf Steiner) in order to understand what was happening with so many of my clients (and myself).

Fascia is THE most fascinating element of the human organism. It has many secrets to teach us!

Made of more than 70% water (when healthy), fascia is the most abundant tissue in the body, wrapping every nerve ending, every fibril and bundle of muscle tissue, every blood vessel, bone and organ; tendons and ligaments are denser forms of fascia that attach muscle to bone, and bone to bone; the extracellular matrix within the fascial system is the body’s superhighway of communication, transferring and transmitting chemical and sensory messengers from outside and inside the body while bathing every cell in the water needed to sustain life. This fluid matrix our body is housed within can shrink, dehydrate and deform because of injuries, repetitive motion, stress and traumas.

Theoretically, releasing fascia with compression and shearing techniques “should” rehydrate the fascia, bring space and fluidity back, allow blood to flow, free trapped nerves and therefore resolve pain. But if it were that simple we would not have the chronic pain epidemic we do today.

Knowledge of the true nature of pain is necessary to understand why fascia behaves the way it does. Which means we also need to learn about the nervous system, and the relationship between these two elements inside of us.

Over the last 16 years I've learned that:

Fascia reflects the objective world.

The human nervous system reflects our subjective perception and interpretation of reality.

The objective realm includes - encompasses - the subjective. As soon as the subjective changes, that change will be mirrored by the fascia.

As part of the objective realm or “knowledge field” of the planet, fascia will always reflect planetary and cosmic truth(s) - light, water, magnetism, sound vibrations, thermal energy, chemical elements...they are all intercepted by fascia.

I hope you enjoy this class!
