Coatings specialist Hardide PLC (LON:HDD) has just started to produce aerospace components for Airbus planes after an eight-year testing period.

It’s a big opportunity says Kirkham, but an even larger one might come from using the technology to stop water drop damage on gas turbine blades.

Tests are set to start shortly with French power firm EDF and Kirkham points out that each turbine alone has hundreds of blades.

Coming on the back of record first-half revenues, Hardide is set for a transformational period believes Kirkham.
