Dumpster diving for biotech equipment to fund your lab

Описание к видео Dumpster diving for biotech equipment to fund your lab

I started building a home lab 8 years ago, and at one time had ~$50,000 of equipment sitting in there, including a Tecan EVO-75 liquid handler, Qpix2 colony picker, LCMS system, and countless boxes of consumables.

You'd be amazed at what large companies will throw away. Get out there and dumpster dive!! Check your local craigslist, or dovebid auctions, and even email and reach out to large companies in the area, as many of them will donate equipment for a tax write-off, or just to avoid paying dumping fees.

I know the basement is scary now and not really looking like a lab, but my friend and I have gone on to raise over $200,000 for our "real" startup company, and it all started with doing what I'm doing here. Getting dirty and taking action!

You'd be amazed how much you can USE in these throw-away piles, and how much you can MAKE by flipping them to local lab-re-seller companies or ebay.
