Our flight from Stórabót summerhouse to Fagurhólsmýri where we spent the night at a farm. This was in middle of October in Iceland. Our airplane is Jodel D-140 TF-ULF. The next morning we took off to fly back but had the engine loose power during climbout. We turned around and had to leave the airplane there for four days. Our mechanic drove all the way there from Reykjavik about 4 hour drive and fixed the carburator. The problem was the fuel mixture was too rich and the engine caughed due to reduced airflow at the intake due to carburator failure.
