Tamil Nadu, K’taka Cauvery Water Row: Bengaluru on high alert as Supreme Court denied to intervene

Protests have broken out in Mandya, the heartland of the Cauvery region, following the Supreme Court's decision on September 23 not to intervene in the directives of the CWMA and CWRC. These directives compel Karnataka to release 5,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu for the next 15 days. The protesting groups are now rallying for a nationwide 'Bharat Bandh' in response to this issue.
