How to Prepare an Extension of Time (EOT) Request

Using the original schedule in Microsoft Excel, this tutorial video will be helpful for the contractors itself or his quantity surveyor, on how to prepare an Extension of Time request or EOT request. Once approved by your Client, your original project completion will be extended.

And so you know, a Client’s approved EOT request will relieve you of breach in the contract, specifically the provision of Liquidated Damages, which the client will charge you on the delays.

An EOT is also a result of additional works which would require an additional time to undertake. Delays are may be due to client’s default, and an approved EOT is your tool to claim for an additional costs, especially if it would cause you also to extend your equipment rental or payment for labour standby times.
