Russia fighters share video of close fighting on frontline in Ukraine

Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday (Feb.15) released a video that shows close combat on the frontline in Ukraine.

The ministry said in a statement that the footage taken by an action camera reveals “the battle for a strong point between Russian paratroopers and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the zone of the special operation”.

“During the offensive operations, the soldiers of the “winged infantry”, supported by artillery fire, suppressed the resistance of the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and forced the Ukrainian militants to leave their positions,” explained the statement.

“After some time, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of armored vehicles, tried to counterattack and recapture the company stronghold. Russian paratroopers timely revealed the intentions of the enemy and opened fire from anti-tank weapons, hand grenade launchers and small arms,” it added.

The statement also said the Russian paratroopers thwarted the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
