It's a traditional chaiti .Chaiti is a form of Semi Classical music which is generally sung during Chait Maas or April to June month. This is the month related to birth of Ram.Just because of that We use the word "Rama " in between the lines of the Song.
We notice that in the lyrics awadhi, bhojpuri, vajjika, maithili etc. folk languages are used.
In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh we find Chaiti or chaitaavar as a folk songs also. Both the forms are similar in tune but treatment towards the lyrics and presentation of songs are totally different. When we sing it as a semi classical form we improvise it according to their swaras, mood or bhav, but when we sing it as a folk song we stick to bhav paksh and rhythm.

This is a semi classical form of Chaiti which I learnt from My Guru Prof.Richa Kumar (Varanasi).

I performed this in SHADAJ an organisation which promotes different forms of music and upcoming Artists both.

Accompanying Artists are
Tabla-Amaan Ali Khan
Sarangi-Ahsaan Ali
