Real Truths is a five-part video series with Mohawk leader, Sakokweniokwas (Thomas R. Porter), that explores how Haudenosaunee teachings and an Indigenous worldview might be applied to the fight against the on-going opioid epidemic and beyond. In Part 4, Sakokweniokwas discusses what the healing process from colonization will require.

Please note, this series was recorded and produced well before the COVID-19 pandemic so there is no mention of the current public health crisis. However, much of what Sakokweniokwas discusses here is widely applicable - the importance of our teachings, compassion, addressing the on-going legacies of colonization, healing, and reconnecting to what makes us human.
