DESPERATE PROCLAIMED OFFENDER HAVING INVOLVEMENTS IN 24 CASES EVADING HIS PRESENCE  FOR 21 YEARS APPREHENDED BY AATS, SOUTH DISTRICT.


INTRODUCTION: -

The team of AATS, South District has done commendable work by apprehending a proclaimed offender namely Shyam Kumar @ Shyam Bahadur who was declared a PO in a robbery case of PS Sangam Vihar registered in the year 2000.

BRIEFING OF THE STAFF: -

The team of AATS, South District was specifically tasked to nab the POs, hence, the team was regularly working on proclaimed offenders who were evading their presence before Hon'ble court of law. Accordingly, the staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence. 


INFORMATION, TEAM & ARREST: -

The efforts of the team yielded results when secret input was received about a proclaimed offender who was hiding near Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh by changing his identity. Immediately, a team consisting SI Deepak Mahla, HC Joginder Singh, HC Somvir & HC Sandeep led by Inspr. Umesh Yadav, I/c AATS, SD was formed to act swiftly. The team activated interstate informers and conducted local enquiry of the areas and developed important clues about the Proclaimed Offender. The team laid a trap and apprehended the PO namely Shyam Kumar @ Shyam Bahadur from Bodh Vihar Mandir, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was produced before the concerned Hon’ble Court.


PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED: -

Shyam Kumar @ Shyam bahadur S/o Late Murli Dhar R/o Village – Birbalpur, Post- Devapar, PS Madhiyau, Jaunpur, U.P. Age - 47 years. He was previously found to be involved in following 24 cases: -

PROCLAMATION: -

He was absconding & declared a Proclaimed offender on 15.10.2003 by the Hon'ble Patiala House Court in connection with case FIR No. 400/2000 U/s 392/411/34 IPC, PS Sangam Vihar, Delhi. He was absconding from the court of Law for the last 21 Years.


The staff involved in good work is suitably rewarded.
