Father Papaderos explained that while he is not the light, he is a fragment of a mirror that can reflect Christ's light into the darkest places of the world and the human heart. By sharing this story, Father Jim urges listeners to embrace their role as chosen witnesses, reflecting God's love to harmonize and reconcile people, families, races, and nations in a world estranged by conflict and division. Following the true light of Christ in our fears and disappointments will destroy darkness and give meaning to our lives, allowing us to carry his light into the Christmas season and the new year.
