Davidoff Travel Humidor Review: Bring Your Cigars In Luxury:

The Davidoff Travel Humidor consists of knitted Jacquard fabric and leather, welded together to create an airtight seal.

[00:34] What Comes With It?

It comes with a Davidoff humidifier pack with a built-in sensor. We've heard mixed reviews on the pack, and therefore used Boveda packs with it.

Note that a Boveda pack will only last you around 2 months here. This is actually decent for a travel humidor, since this type of storage tends to lose humidity faster.

[01:12] Boveda & Travel Humidors

A truly airtight seal will give you about a year's worth of use from a Boveda pack. Most travel humidors, however, due to less effective seals, deplete the packs faster.

[01:44] Capacity & Size:

Although it only holds 8 cigars, it's larger than other travel humidors. However, the flat folio shape hides nicely in your jacket and, pulled out this way, is sure to impress. The humidor has a magnetic closure, and convenient compartments for your cigar scissors and lighter.

[02:22] Price Of This Edition:

This particular humidor is the Winston Churchill Limited Edition, 129/400. The price for this edition is $350.00.

The cigars themselves go inside a removable tray, and you put your humidification source atop the tray. Cigars fit snugly inside the spaces in the tray.

In terms of vitola, the tray will hold eight Double Coronas.

[05:12] Why Buy This Humidor?

Ultimately, cigars are a luxury activity, and this humidor is more likely to impress than a plastic travel humidor. If you'll regularly store cigars that are $20-30, it makes sense to invest in something nice like this.

[05:58] Value:

This particular piece is almost $400, but it's a conversation piece of heirloom quality. While you might get similar performance from an injection-molded plastic humidor, a plastic box just doesn't have the same impact.

There are many options in the luxury humidor space, but for Paul, this is a great fit. Davidoff's Winston Churchill Travel Humidor fit his aesthetic and his affinity towards Churchill perfectly.
