Here’s why video triangulation is so important and unique to Polytec scanning vibrometer systems. When it comes to 3D measurements, accurate geometry measurement is crucial to the 3 beams superimposing on each other. In short, video triangulation ensures that the superposition is at its absolute best. We use state-of-the-art image processing algorithms for this task with a high-resolution in-built camera being the enabling technology.
