Found a slice of time for a wild camp and a wonder
A good weather window was opening so I chucked the bag on the back and hiked up to the top of The Kinder Scout Plateau via The Nab, Ringing Rodger, crossing the open Moor between Nether Tor and Upper Tor before nestling amongst the Seal 🦭 rocks 🪨 at Seal Stones on Kinder’s North easterly side. It was a very calm cold night, so still I could hear a pin drop as the tent froze over solid. Watching the stars and planets 🪐 as I nourished myself with warm food and drink was just magic. Woken by my loud alarm at 6am I peeped out under the fly sheet to notice orange blues and pinks. Like a Jack-in-a box I sprang into morning much easier than I do at home! To enjoy the temperature inversion in front of me. Frozen by dawn I danced because ehyntge hell not? Warmed up and happy as pig in muck. Nothing beats camps like these not even my warm bed at home ❤️
