When the country required a deniable action Colin Kane would step forward on behalf of Her Majesty’s Government.

Kane decides to take the very skills his country had been only to happy to equipped him with and turn them on the Government of the day. To create an environment where change would be demanded. He unleashes acts of terror in Yorkshire, Birmingham, Manchester, Windsor, London, Calais, all designed to motivate the people to call for the change he desires.

Kane's actions are described by the Home Secretary as acts carried out by a Lone Wolf. A task force under the new Commander SAS Tom Black, Donna Bottrol of MI5 and two serving SAS troopers is established and put into the field to track down The Lone Wolf ‘off the books’. Donna Bottrol becomes embroiled in Kane’s world and is determined to unveil him as The Lone Wolf, driven by the death of two of her team during an operation that went very wrong, and which she believes was at the hands of The Lone Wolf. She vows to bring him to justice.
